35 years of figuring it out.
We started fixing computers when they still needed fixing. We’re still here because we never stopped learning — and we never forgot that technology is supposed to serve the people using it.
Started with a soldering iron. Still here — still learning.
Computer Concepts started in component-level repair. IBM, Wyse, Compaq — back when hardware broke and someone had to know how to fix it at the board level. That was the work, and we were good at it.
Then networks happened. Client-server architecture. The internet. Every few years, the technology shifted, and we shifted with it. We didn’t just adopt new tools — we learned them deeply enough to build with them, troubleshoot them, and teach our clients how to use them.
Somewhere along the way, healthcare became our world. We started hosting and managing medical practices in our own data center — cloud before there was a cloud. Word spread. One practice referred another. We grew to support 20+ organizations across Colorado, from single-provider offices to multi-site operations.
We never spent much on marketing. Never tried to be the biggest. We just focused on being good at the work and being the kind of partner people wanted to recommend.
What we believe — and what shapes how we work.
Technology should serve people.
There’s no substitute for experience.
You deserve someone to talk to.
Security isn’t an add-on.
Every environment is different.
Led by experience, not titles.
Eric LaRochelle founded Computer Concepts in 1991. The path wasn’t traditional — military background, then engineering, networking, field operations, and management. Along the way, certifications spanning security, networking, virtualization, cloud, and AI automation. But certifications don’t protect your data. Thirty-five years of solving real problems does.
Eric is a regular speaker at industry conferences and leads cybersecurity awareness training for clients and organizations — because the best security strategy starts with the people behind the keyboard. That same teaching mindset carries into every engagement: we don’t just fix things, we make sure you understand what we did and why.
The team has grown over the years, but the approach hasn’t changed. We hire people who know their stuff, who care about doing good work, and who understand that the person on the other end of the phone is trusting us with something important.
Why we’re still small — on purpose.
Thirty-five years in. Still learning.
Technology keeps changing. AI is the latest shift — and like every shift before it, we’re learning it deeply enough to build with it, not just talk about it. We’re applying AI and automation to the same problems we’ve always solved: making operations more efficient, keeping systems secure, helping organizations do more with the resources they have. The tools are new. The discipline is the same.
Want to work with us?
We’re not the right fit for everyone — and we’re honest about that. But if you’re looking for IT and security support from people who’ve been doing this a long time and still care about doing it well, let’s talk.
